We are an Easter people! Arranging mass on tour was a challenge, but sometimes God works in mysterious ways…we attended mass at the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo. Imagine our surprise when we found this cathedral was the home of a first class relic of our patron saint, St. John Paul II. 💚 We were meant to be there for Easter, and it was a beautiful way to start our day. #StJPIIFaith #StJPIITravel #Benotafraid #CTRfaith #eftourscanada

Easter Sunday was a busy day after mass - the Carrowmore Megalithic cemetery, followed by the fairy bridges, Wishing Chair, and the beach at Bundoran. We went to Donegal Castle, and ended our day in Northern Ireland. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIITravel #eftourscanada

A day behind on Ireland updates! 😳 Saturday, we spent time in Galway shopping before going to the Glengowla Mine. We got to go deep into the mine and learned about the difficult lives of miners. The sheep dog demonstration by Pip and Keith afterwards was incredible. We finished our day with a full double rainbow on our way to Sligo. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIITravel #eftourscanada

We held a Good Friday liturgy on Inis Oirr at Teampall Caomhán, otherwise known as St. Caomhán’s church (or St. Cavan in english) which dates from the 10th century. It was a beautiful spot to listen to God’s word, and reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus. #StJPIIFaith #benotafraid #CTRFaith

A ferry to Inis Oirr today, with some touring on the island before a ferry tour of the Cliffs of Moher. We checked out the abbey, which our hotel is named for - it was built in 1253! 😳It was an incredible day to soak in God’s beautiful creation. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIITravel #eftourscanada

Our students participated in a Lenten action today in bringing at least three Catholic Social Teachings to life: Human Dignity, Solidarity, and Preference for the Poor. As part of the national "Coldest Night of the Year" initiative, students endured the crispy cool morning to walk in solidarity for the less fortunate. Our Lenten campaign this year raised money and supplies for a local organization called "Baby it's Cold Outside" and the Okotoks Food Bank. #StJPIIFaith #StJPIIRocks
