Today, we gathered as a community to offer our prayers and thanks to the men and women who have died in service to their country. This week is Remembrance Week at JPII. This year, we have a focus on the Spiritual Work of Mecrcy, praying for the dead. We recognize that we are called on to pray for the deceased, especially for the long forgotten ones, such as soldiers. Each morning, students will pray and learn about a Remembrance Week topic, to enhance their appreciation for the week. 9-1 did some role playing to apply their knowledge of Youth Justice Committees and the Youth Criminal Justice Act with scenarios. The end goal was to come up with a meaningful and appropriate consequence for a specific situation, using what they learned.
