We visited Okotoks-area elementary schools (St. Maryâs School, Ăcole Good Shepherd School, St. Francis of Assisi Academy) yesterday to present information about St. JPIIâs Gr. 7 Late French Immersion program. This is a great opportunity to find out more about âWhat to Expect in a Catholic Schoolâ especially for those who have questions about the student experience in our schools. The topic of this next meeting was chosen in response to parent feedback we received in September, and so we encourage you to come and explore this theme with other parents! As St. JPII continues to plan for the 2024/2025 school year, we would like to draw your attention to two important information evenings: **French Immersion Information and Application Evening â Thursday, February 8th at 6:30 pm (any parents planning to enroll their child in Late French Immersion must attend â please note that applications need to be submitted by Feb. 26th to be considered for Late French Immersion). The majority of information presented will be on Late French Immersion, but all are welcome! Late French Immersion begins at Gr. 7 and has been offered at St. JPII for 17 years. **St. JPII New School Showcase and Student Information Evening â Thursday, March 14th at 6:30 pm (for ALL incoming students and parents in ALL programs, English and French). Feel free to invite other parents to the Feb. 8 and March 14 information sessions (whether or not their children currently attend a CTR school), if they are interested in finding out more about what St. JPII has to offer! Registration inquiries in all programs for the 2024/2025 school year are now open via our registration page on our website: https://www.redeemer.ab.ca/register, and inquiries are welcome both from Catholic and non-Catholic students. CTR and Southland Transportation have made the decision to cancel all buses tomorrow morning and afternoon, Monday, Jan. 15 due to extremely cold temperatures and severe wind chills. Our school will remain open, as many families rely on our facilities. Students and staff driving to school should use extra caution and plan for additional travel time. Please ensure children are dressed appropriately for these extreme conditions CTR will continue to monitor road and weather conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!
