The gryphon is our mascot, but is also a connection to our faith! The beautiful gryphon mural on the gym wall was painted by our former art teacher, Mrs. Younggren. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIILearning #wearegryphons
When learning about plants and reproduction in Kutzner’s science class…no better way than to grow them and dissect them:) #stjpiilearning #StJPIIRocks #stjpiiscience

Lord, renew our trust in your merciful love, so that we might live it more fully in our lives. ❤️🖤💛 #StJPIIFaith #benotafraid #catholiceducation #ibelieveincatholiced #CTRfaith #CTRCatholic
Wednesday was a long day, with loads packed in. We returned to Dublin and visited the EPIC museum of emigration, then walked along the River Liffey to Grafton Street for lunch. We did a guided bus tour of the city and went inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral, before making our way to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells. We finished up with some shopping before having Irish stew for dinner and returning to our hotel. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIITravel #eftourscanada
We bade farewell to our amazing bus driver, Daniel, on Wednesday evening, and then made an effort to pack and nap…or just stay up since we had to be downstairs to depart for the airport at 2:15am. But your director, Carl, was with us to the end. We appreciated his humour, knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm on tour, and felt luck to have him with us on this journey. We are home, and reliving Thursday, as well as the many great memories made on our trip. A huge thank you to the chaperones, and to the students, who were great ambassadors. ❤️🇮🇪❤️
Our tour of Derry had a big impact on all of us, and a big part of that was our guide, Ronan. His message of peace and hope was inspiring. We continued on to the Giants Causeway, which was beautiful and wild. Finally, we visited the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge…😳 We ended our day in Belfast. #StJPIITravel #StJPIIRocks #eftourscanada
We started our day at the Titanic Belfast Museum. This was also a very powerful experience, as we learned about the building of the ship, and then the terrible details of the sinking. Out amazing guide, Joe, then took us to Lower Falls, Shankill Road, and the murals. He shared his personal stories of The Troubles, and we learned so much from him. After his tour, we did a quick visit of Crumlin Road Gaol, and then finished up with dinner in Belfast. We are all a little tired as these last two days have been busy, but we are having an amazing time! #StJPIITravel #StJPIIRicks #eftourscanada
Did you know that St. John Paul II Collegiate has a papal blessing from our patron saint? It is dated the day before his death, and is one of the most precious items we have connecting our school to St. John Paul II. ❤️🖤💛 #StJPIIFaith #benotafraid #catholiceducation #ibelieveincatholiced #CTRfaith #CTRCatholic #benotafraid
We are an Easter people! Did you know the Easter season is 50 days long? Eastertide ends on May 19! #StJPIIFaith #benotafraid #catholiceducation #ibelieveincatholiced #CTRfaith #CTRCatholic
We are an Easter people! Arranging mass on tour was a challenge, but sometimes God works in mysterious ways…we attended mass at the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo. Imagine our surprise when we found this cathedral was the home of a first class relic of our patron saint, St. John Paul II. 💚 We were meant to be there for Easter, and it was a beautiful way to start our day. #StJPIIFaith #StJPIITravel #Benotafraid #CTRfaith #eftourscanada
Easter Sunday was a busy day after mass - the Carrowmore Megalithic cemetery, followed by the fairy bridges, Wishing Chair, and the beach at Bundoran. We went to Donegal Castle, and ended our day in Northern Ireland. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIITravel #eftourscanada
A day behind on Ireland updates! 😳 Saturday, we spent time in Galway shopping before going to the Glengowla Mine. We got to go deep into the mine and learned about the difficult lives of miners. The sheep dog demonstration by Pip and Keith afterwards was incredible. We finished our day with a full double rainbow on our way to Sligo. #StJPIIRocks #StJPIITravel #eftourscanada
ALLELUIA, alleluia, alleluia! He is risen! #StJPIIFaith #benotafraid #catholiceducation #ibelieveincatholiced #CTRfaith #CTRCatholic
We held a Good Friday liturgy on Inis Oirr at Teampall Caomhán, otherwise known as St. Caomhán’s church (or St. Cavan in english) which dates from the 10th century. It was a beautiful spot to listen to God’s word, and reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus. #StJPIIFaith #benotafraid #CTRFaith
