Our Grade 7 students travelled to St. James Church early and well before our school’s opening Mass yesterday, allowing for a “field trip” to the church! They learned about the building, the significance of sacred features in the church, and how these all connect to the celebration of Mass, which they experienced later that morning. This hands-on learning also helps bring the Catholic Religious Studies class alive with a connection to the Religion curriculum students are learning about every week.
