The cafeteria is open Monday – Thursday and operates primarily on a pre-order basis similar to those of the local elementary schools’ Hot Lunch Programs. We will be open the first day of school, with the pre-ordered lunches starting after the long weekend, Tuesday September 3rd. September pre-ordering will be open from August 20th – 25th
Vendors we currently use: OPA!, Boston Pizza, Quesada, McDonald’s, Papa John’s,
Subway, Red Rock Pizza, JRRR BBQ & Booster Juice
Made by us in the cafeteria: Hotdogs, Caesar Salads, Perogies, Taco in a Bag,
Soup & Grilled Cheese Combo, and more
- In addition to the scheduled pre-order menu, there are ‘Everyday Offerings’ (by cash only): freshly made sandwiches with no-nitrate meats, soups, salads, fruit, veggies, milk, juice, water, as well as a variety of small bagged potato chips etc.
- Allergy Aware – we adhere to the school policy of no peanuts/nuts/shellfish. If you have specific allergy-related questions, please contact the vendor directly.
- 4 Lineups for Food Pickup – There is a line for each grade 7-9 for pre-orders, and a ‘Cash Only’ line for student non-pre-orders. We strive to move students through in under 10 minutes.
- Pre-Ordering – September pre-ordering will be open from August 21st – 25th. Subsequent pre-order terms are once per month for the following month. Example: October pre-orders should be open Sept.16th – 20th, November pre-orders Oct. 14th – 18th, etc.
- PLEASE NOTE: If you have an order in our system after the order deadline, it will be placed with the vendor, and you will be responsible for payment. Please ensure you clear any unwanted orders prior to the deadline.
- Payment - By e-Transfer to jpiicafe@gmail.com (automatic deposit) or by cash or cheque (payable to JPII Cafeteria) handed in to the school office or the cafeteria (during regular lunch hour times).
- Refund or replace a pre-ordered lunch – unfortunately, we are unable to refund or replace a pre-ordered lunch if it is missed for any reason. Alternatively, feel free to come in and pick it up or arrange for a sibling or friend to get it. Notify us by 11:00am either by email (jpiicafe@gmail.com) or call the school to let us know you are picking it up. If a sibling or friend is picking up, they can show us a note or text from you.
- Any unclaimed lunch at the end of the lunch hour will be donated to the schools’ community food program.
- Register your child at https://jpii.hotlunches.net, or go to the St. John Paul II Collegiate website and click on “USEFUL LINKS” in the upper right corner and then click on “CAFETERIA ORDERS” (Taco picture) and it will take you to our ordering site.
